The 3 Questions I Ask Myself at the End of Every Year

Since reflection is part of my monthly check-in with myself, I kept my year-end review intentionally simple this time and asked myself just three questions:

  1. What am I most grateful for this year?

  2. What do I regret (decisions I made—or didn't make—and why)?

  3. What will be my biggest focus in the year ahead?

For me, this is a chance to look back on the milestones and wins I've achieved, extend myself a little grace for the things I would have done differently, and set a clear intention for how I want to navigate the year to come.

One question I especially love comes from Hannah:

"What's better today than it was a year ago?"

It puts progress into perspective. So often we overlook the small wins that quietly move us closer to the bigger picture.

What questions do you ask yourself when you take time to pause and reflect?
