Are We All Secretly Feeling Behind? The Pressure of Success Culture

Is LinkedIn's success culture making you feel like you’re running out of time?
This past week, I celebrated another birthday, and I want to say thank you to everyone who sent me a message, called, or left a note. It truly means more than you know. I’m slowly getting back to everyone across platforms.
Birthdays always create a moment of reflection: another year of growth, challenges, and lessons.
But if I’m honest, they also bring up a feeling that’s harder to talk about:
The feeling of being behind.
Behind where you thought you’d be.
Behind your peers.
Behind the version of yourself you know you’re capable of becoming.

One moment, everything feels aligned and like it’s finally falling into place. Next, you’re questioning whether you’re doing enough or if you're even on the right path at all.
And I know I’m not the only one who has felt this.
Too many of us move through life feeling:
overlooked
unappreciated
not quite living up to our full potential
Even when, deep down, we know there is so much more we can do, build, and become.
So this year, I’m dedicating my voice and my content to this conversation. I want to open up a dialogue around something I call Hidden Talent Syndrome (you read it here first).
If you’ve ever felt this way, know this:
You’re not behind.
You’re not invisible.
And you always have the ability to rewrite your narrative.
